Please! Point me in the right direction.

Firstly I'd like to thank you for the opportunity that you offer, to allow the public to try before they buy your programme, I was unable to download it from the site that I said you could contact me, but managed fine from another site to get to your home page and download the trial.
Your SW is great but either I am having finger problems or it is not quite what I want, if you could maybe point me in the right direction I'd be most greatful.
The problem is that I have damaged headers on digital photos, but the crazy thing is that these have been burnt to DVD (I have a 4 Gig CF card) and Ihave already taken another 5 DVDs full after that catastrophe so, its goodbye to recover from the CF card, I was on holiday in Europe and had to rely on photo labs or internet cafes to burn the DVDs, so if you have any idea what I can use to recover these headers as these photos are very precious to me I'd be most greatful, the camera is a Canon 350XT or Rebel.

Yours Sincerely

Jurgis Lasevicius

Author's Response:
Dear Jurgis,

Our software can only recover lost, deleted or formatted pictures. It does not repair damaged photos. Your CF was overwritten too many times so your DVDs remain the only media which you should try to recover from. Try to run the recovery process using different cluster sizes for your DVD media. For more information about the recovery I will need to analyze some photos. So please send some of them to our support email address.

Regards,
Michael

Couldn`t preview AVI files

It wasn't possible to preview the AVI files that I have because they were >10M so it wasn't clear whether there was any point in purchasing the program. It would be handy if it could preview the AVI file so you can see that it is OK but then not save it till you pay for the software. I found other less expensive software that recovered the AVI files (and JPG's) perfect. I tried about 7 different programs and most would only recovered deleted rather than lost files.

Final Comments

I tried to recover some AVIs from a SmartMedia card and the software failed to identify anything on the 'disk'. So I uninstalled it straight away.

Other software could see the data but I had to pay for it and I didnt want to.
Even Windows XP could see that the files were there but just couldnt read them.

I finally fixed the issue with the card by using CHKDSK /F then everything was OK.

Didn`t work for me

Unfortunately the 120 photographs that had become unreadable could not be recovered from either the SD card or the back up jpgs on the P.C.

I cannot comment on how well it would work in other circumstances but this time it couldn't help, in all fairness all the other "Recovery" programs tried with this batch of photographs have failed, so in my opinion it is no worse or better than the Free or Demo(Buy if it works) programs.

I will (if needed) try this program again in the future, to try and recover damaged or deleted photographs if my current program doesn't work maybe then it will prove to have the edge.

Found Files on Compact Flash Card

I had inadvertently deleted files on a CF card. Digital Photo Recovery got them back just fine.

Too soon for an adequate review.

Hi,
I am trying to rescue some pictures from a 512mb CF card, that I had accidentally erased using another program I was unfamiliar with. I've only used your program one time.
The results of my one time use is that your program seemed to rescue all the pictures that were on the CF card, and none of the erased pics. And I noticed that when I tried to scroll down the list of pics in your programs window, it would only go down two maybe three slots and then become nonresponsive and the cursor would show busy as if it was loading something huge. This lasted maybe 20 seconds or so.
I'm running the 32bit version of Vista Ultimate, so I realize that there will be some programs that either won't work at all, or will probably work in a way that they shouldn't, or will work perfectly fine.
There were some conditions that were "out of the ordinary" when I used your program, so I'm going to give it another shot in the next few days.
I also have another pc which has XP Home Edition w/Service Pack 2 installed on it. If my second attempt to use your program on my computer running Vista Ultimate fails, I will install on the XP machine and try to recover the pics there.
I am trying to recover from a generic usb card reader. Which works fine, and always has.
The pics in question were from Christmas, and are a panoramic view of the front of my house all lit up at night. So there were probably about 4 pics that will be "stitched" together.
Which is what I was attempting to do when they were erased.
I was using a program called Panorado. Which I hadn't ever used previously. It appears to be a decent program. Its just that I found it somewhat confusing as to how to use it. (But being a man, I'm bound by the don't ask/read directions creed) :)
If you'd like to send me another email in about a week, I'll be happy to give you a more educated review of your product.
Oh yeah, I installed/opened/and started using your program with no problems or confusion of any kind.
Sorry for being so long winded, and thanks for the email.

Oops, not Mac compatible

I downloaded the free trial of this to see about recovering pics from an SD card.

Well, the program crapped out immediately. Then I realized I missed any info regarding PC vs. Mac compatability. Further research revealed it is not compatible. (In my panic to recover the photos I guess I forgot to check in the first place!)

So, I don't recommend getting this if you have a Mac, and I can't offer any helpful information for PC users - sorry!

DID NOT WORK THANKS FOR THE TRIAL

Did not work, got divide by zero options whenever I tried to select any of the process blocks. Start button greyed out. I just wanted to see if I could pull pictures off a corrupt SD card and had no luck

Does just what is says on the box...

I recently came back from five days of photographing brown bears off Kodiak Island, Alaska. I downloaded over 700 photos, but after a series of errors found all my precious photos were erased from the memory card and my computer. I was sure I had lost the photos of a lifetime.

After several days of running hard drive recovery programs and other futile options, I came across this product. I was desperate, and hoped this wasn't just another gimmick that would waste my time and money. I sat in amazement as I recovered every single photo.

If it wasn’t for this program, I would have lost all the photos from my trip of a lifetime.

I can’t say good enough things about this company, and intend to post every website I can find to let people know this program is the real deal. I don't often write to companies to thank them, but didn't hesitate for this one, as they saved my vacation.

Johnny Linton's review.

I tried it but it filled up my hard drive, probably because I did it wrong. I have a full hard drive and don't know how to get it into something besides c drive. It was totatly my fault and I blame no one but myself. The program worked well but I did not know how to view the files.

undecided

After my daughter accidentally reformatted her camera memory card we found this site online and ran the free download. After viewing the thumbnails, we decided to skip the purchase. Approx 25% of the pics appeared to be preserved, but the rest either had a bar across the bottom or were entirely blank. Only guessing, but part of the problem may be that she did take one new picture on the card before we tried this program. Thanks for the opportunity to trial it - we'd definitly try again if necessary.

Not Applicable

The data I had to recover was mixed - not just image files. Hence the trial software was only useful insofar as it demonstrated that recovery software could find files whereas Windows Explorer could not.

Did not do what I needed

I had a really big job... thousands of images deleted. This program worked to a point, then stalled and just ran on and on.
Ended up having to buy another data recovery program to do this disaster.

From what I saw though, I would say it might be useful for other, smaller recoveries.

Undo brush sections in a given pic

Hello,
I downloaded it to find a specific function not found in other software and - unfortunately - in this one either not.

Given a picture where parts are made grey to cover I am looking for a tool, which can recover the original pic without the brush done to it.

If it is there, let me know, that I can test it

Regards
AJ

Expecting too much ?

Very slow- could be USB2 or SD card response time ? I use a iMac 2G.

Unfortunatelty, program does not try to recover corrupt jpg files already stored on computer hard drive. Maybe asking too much?

Does it only recover uncorrupted files partially "deleted" from card directory ?

Worked!

It worked as advertised, and it was worth the small cost.
